Birthday Celebration

Today our middle child turns 10. Those ten years seems to have gone by so fast yet when I stop and think of individual moments during those years, I see how they have stacked up bit by bit over time. How I used to have to hold him while he napped for fear he'd wake up . . . how he nursed for 16 months . . . how he was such a momma's boy, never wanting to leave my side at playgroups . . . his toddler love of dinosaur's . . . his brief hospitalization for asthma . . . his chubby, chubby cheeks . . . how he always liked broccoli . . . how he's always been an artist . . . his intense devotion to whatever he's currently into . . . his journal keeping . . . his never ending energy . . . how he gets embarrassed if he gets in trouble, so he never gets in trouble . . . his quick anger when we punish him . . . his ability to make and find money . . . his sweet, loving, loyal disposition. What would we do without him??!! Happy Birthday, Kaden!
