Oh how I would love to raise a few chickens in the backyard! Fresh eggs would be wonderful, they would keep the bug population at bay, they could eat our kitchen scraps, and did I mention how great fresh eggs would be?! I don't know what our local ordinances allow, but the other potential problem we'd face is our neighborhood fox population.
If I could raise chickens though, this is the coop I'd love to build. Designed and built by Portland architect Mitchell Snyder, it is designed for the chickens' needs while still looking beautiful. And the top is a living roof. How cool is that!
